7 Crochet Ideas for Fall

In this post, I’m sharing crochet ideas for fall. As the weather gets colder and cozy season approaches, I can’t think of a better time to be crocheting!

If you’re brand new to crocheting, check out the posts in my Crochet 101 series first:

Crochet Pumpkins

Crochet pumpkins are one of my favorite crochet ideas for fall. They make the perfect decoration for around the home or on your doorstep! They are also cheaper than buying those plastic pumpkins at the craft store.

Check out this tutorial from Just Be Crafty:

Just Be Crafty uses a cinnamon stick and twine for the pumpkin stem. For a crocheted stem alternative, I like this tutorial from Bella Coco too! I love her use of non-traditional colors like muted purple and grey for a chic take on the standard pumpkin.

Autumn Leaves Coasters

Swap out your regular coasters for these cute seasonal ones! Crochetwithsumi demonstrates how to make these beautiful ones in the video below:

Fall Colors Blanket/Throw

If you have a collection of fall-colored yarn and don’t know what to do with it, a fall colors blanket or throw is the perfect way to utilize it.

I love this pattern from The Turtle Trunk. You can modify the pattern to use as many colors as you want, and this pattern is unique with the cute puff stitches. Give it a try!

I have another pattern from one of my favorite crochet content creators, TL Yarn Crafts. I love the ripple stitch she uses and the vibrant selection of colors.

A written version of this pattern can be found here.

Beanies

The next couple of crochet ideas for fall are apparel for the colder weather! These make great, practical gifts for the people you love.

There are plenty of simple and straightforward patterns for crochet beanies out there, but I love this one from TL Yarn Crafts. It is gorgeous and looks much more complicated than it actually is.

The video is below and the written pattern is here:

This pattern by Wilmade is another unique, Autumn take on a crochet beanie. I love the creative inclusion of fall leaves. Video tutorial is below and the written tutorial can be found on her blog here.

Scarves

I love crocheting scarves because they are so versatile – they can be made with virtually any stitch and any combination of colors you want! I am linking a pattern from another one of my favorite crochet bloggers, All About Ami.

Fall Cardigan

Cardigans are the perfect transition piece for fall before we have have to start wearing winter jackets. A video tutorial by TL Yarn Crafts is here and the written pattern is here.

Fall Amigurumi

For the amigurumi lovers, these patterns are for you.

How cute are these little ghosts?

These bats are perfect for Halloween, too.

And I’m obsessed with this candy corn amigurumi:

I hope you enjoyed these crochet ideas for fall! Even if you don’t use the exact patterns recommended above, hopefully you can take inspiration for some projects of your own.
